Mikaela and Bryan are a dynamic due with a shared passion and deep love for the endless wonders of the fungal queendom. They're union expanded into a grand exploration and fusion of perspective which birthed they're business Alchemystic Fungi. Over the past several years they have been gradually scaling from a small home run business with their petit laundry room functioning as their laboratory to expanding into larger production within the Byron Shire.

Mikaela
Mikaela is a create innovator whom enjoys challenging the status quo and think outside the box. Mikaela has always been fascinated by the human body and how our environment, the way we move in it and what we ingest effects our internal and external ecosystems. As creatures of nature, this view point organically expanded into the complexities of the cycle of life.
When fungi found her she felt that all of our questions could be found in the fine networks of these expansive beings. She aspires to approach the world and her work with the queendom from a multi-perspective lens. She is currently studying craniosacral and diving deep into the subtle energies of life which integrates beautifully into the fine art of mushroom cultivation.

Bryan
Bryan is a brilliant creative thinker with a wide range of skills. After he worked nearly 10 years as a chef, Bryan got to experience the effects of different farming practices and its relationship to food quality. This experience inspired an interest in soils and soil health. Soils are the foundation and back bone of all terrestrial life on earth. Farming practices such as organic, regenerative permaculture, agroforestry and natural Korean farming led Bryan to fungi.
Their exponential growth and ability to adapt to an incredible diversity of food, keeps Bryan interest in how they can be influenced by us to become a food, medicine, plant ally, natures recycler and more.
"Fungi are our ancestors. Everything around us has evolved from fungi and encapsules their essence. With this in mind, the potential for humanity to integrate endless fungal applications into society and be a disruptive technology for improving harmful or wasteful industries is very exciting."
